2. Qualifications
The applicant should
(1) hold a Ph.D. degree approved by the Ministry of Education. Proof of verification must be provided for degrees conferred from abroad.
(2) specialize in the area of “World Civilization”. Priority will be given to those with cross-disciplinary knowledge in relation to “Philosophy and Moral Reasoning” or “Quantitative Analysis and Mathematics”. (For detailed description of each area, please consult our website:

(3) have the ability to teach in English. Preference will be given to those who are experienced in conducting courses in English.
3. Anticipated Start Date
One academic year starting August 1st, 2022
4. Job Descriptions
The applicant should
(1) teach 16 credit hours per week each semester, with 9 of them on liberal education
(2) offer at least one course conducted in English for each semester.
(3) teach NTU AP courses and support international short-term programs when necessary.
(4) assist in the planning and development of courses related to the above units.
5. Required Documents
(1) A curriculum vitae, which contains the following:
Basic personal information, including contact information (address, phone number, email address, emergency contact person)
Detailed educational background and working experiences, indicating the beginning and ending dates, e.g., 8/2006 - 8/2009
Complete publication record (For journal papers, please provide complete bibliographic information, and their citation indexes if available.) Specify among the record one representative work and no more than three reference works. Electronic files of the chosen works should be provided as well.
A syllabus for the course proposed and any other supporting evidence.
A Chinese autobiography of 700 - 1,000 characters. Applicants who are not native speakers of Chinese can be exempted from providing this.
An English autobiography of 2,000 - 3,000 words.
(2) Photocopies of personal identification card or passport, diplomas or certificates of education and proofs of work experiences.
(3) Two letters of recommendation (to be sent directly by the referees to Center for General Education, National Taiwan University at cge@ntu.edu.tw)
(4) Photocopy of Teacher’s certificate (if any)
(5) Proof of having conducted courses in English (if any)
(6) Other supporting materials.
6. Application Procedure
(1) Application Deadline: 10 pm, June 10th, 2022 (GMT+8). No late submission will be accepted.
