The NTU System is composed of the National Taiwan University, National Taiwan University of Science & Technology, and National Taiwan Normal University. Its origin can be traced back to an initiative on June 10, 2014, which led to its establishment as the NTU Alliance on January 7, 2015. On March 31, 2016, the System was officially approved by the Ministry of Education and given its current name. Since the fall term of Academic Year 2014, members of the Alliance/System have opened a matching number of seats in its own courses to those offered by other members. NTU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding inter-collegiate courses offered in cooperation with the National Taipei University of Education; since the Fall term of the Academic Year 2014, members will open a matching number of seats in Liberal Education courses to the sister institution. NTU has signed an inter-university course selection cooperation agreement with the National Taiwan University of Arts. Starting from the second semester of the 2017 academic year, each semester, an equivalent number of general education course slots are mutually opened for undergraduate students from both universities to cross-enroll. The number of slots available each semester will be equally opened by both parties and announced separately. Each semester, the general education courses offered by the National Taiwan University of Arts to NTU and the recognition of these courses in NTU's general education domains will be updated in the latest news on our center's website.
