Huang Chun-Ming entered the literary scene through his novel writing, displaying different writing styles throughout different periods. His works feature characters such as rural villagers, people on the margins of society, and the elderly. In addition to novels, he has also written prose, new poetry, plays, and children's literature. He has received several awards, including the Wu San-Lien Award, National Literary Award, China Times Literary Award, TECO Award, and Nation Cultural Award of R.O.C.
