Semiconductors are not a niche expertise confined to any single discipline. They represent a form of interdisciplinary literacy in our time.
Semiconductors are not the territory of any one field. Think about what you use every day. Smartphones, AI systems, electric vehicles, and gaming consoles all run on semiconductors. They have come to define the global economy, technological progress, and international competitiveness. Extending far beyond engineering, they involve materials science, manufacturing, management, and even the humanities and social sciences.
The Semiconductor Interdisciplinary Program opens the world of semiconductors to students of every background. NTU's Center for General Education has joined hands with departments across the University and industry partners to build an interdisciplinary learning platform. By meeting students where they are, the Program bridges them into semiconductor studies, offering both accessibility for beginners and depth for advanced learners.
👉 Everyone. Not just electrical engineering and computer science students!
Interested in STEM but worried about circuits? We've got just the courses to get you started.
