Formerly known as Basic Skills courses, the Communication, Expression, and Career Development courses are designed to strengthen foundational, transferable skills that can be applied to multiple contexts. Furthermore, these courses aim to cultivate analytical, logical, and integrative thinking capabilities.
A maximum of six credits earned from Communication, Expression, and Career Development courses can be counted toward the General Education credit requirements.
The courses aim to foster students' ability to present complex and professional concepts and information in a concise and organized manner using different languages, achieving effective communication goals. The courses also cultivate diverse and rich inclusive perspectives and creativity during the learning process.
