In Dialogue with the Nobel Spirit - Special Exhibition
Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel, reflecting on the use of his inventions in warfare, established the Nobel Prize through his will in the hope of changing the world for the benefit of humankind. It has since become the world’s most widely recognized and prestigious scholarly honour.

In pursuit of academic excellence, National Taiwan University has invited a number of Nobel laureates to deliver lectures on campus, including through the launch of the NTU Royal Palm Lecture Series in 2023. That same year, Mr. Raymond Soong, founder of LITE-ON Technology, generously endowed the Raymond Soong Chair Professorship of Distinguished Research and brought together 12 academic and research institutions, including NTU and Academia Sinica, along with the International Peace Foundation, to advance the Taiwan Bridges Program. From 2025 to 2026, the program invited 31 Nobel laureates to Taiwan for academic exchange. During this period, NTU led the coordination and outreach efforts, organizing the opening ceremony and six keynote lectures, which sparked lively dialogue and wide-ranging response.

Specially authorized by the Swedish Office in Taipei and co-organized with NTU, this exhibition brings together the cultural essence of Sweden—Nobel’s homeland—and highlights from the NTU Nobel Laureate Lecture Series. We warmly invite you to step into this dialogue of knowledge across time and space, and to experience the enduring spirit of Nobel.
